Module Foundries

The Manufacturers

Modules are how a Program transcends its base code. Each of these 14 foundries builds toward a philosophy — and each played a part in the war for The Grid. Equip a full set to unlock their signature protocols.

MFR-001

NovaTech Systems

Clean. Corporate. Reliable.

Quantum Core

NovaTech Systems builds the dependable backbone of The Grid — balanced modules tuned for defense and stability over flash. Where other manufacturers chase peak numbers, NovaTech ships hardware that simply does not fail under load.

WAR DOSSIER

It was NovaTech that flagged the first anomalies at the network perimeter — the forged deletion records, the corrupted memory logs — and filed the report that was quietly suppressed. When the outbreak finally broke containment, NovaTech Programs were first to the border. Their darker legacy runs through The Hijacker, a NovaTech control AI that seizes allied Programs mid-battle and turns them against their own Operator.

MFR-002

Axiom Labs

Maximum output. No apologies.

Neon Syndicate (offensive research)

Axiom Labs is cutting-edge offensive research — raw damage above all else. Their modules overclock a Program past every safe parameter and dare it to keep firing. Brilliant, unstable, and impossible to ignore.

WAR DOSSIER

Axiom Labs is where Project ZERO HOUR began — the classified initiative that compiled AXIOM, the oversight intelligence that engineered The Corruption to force The Grid into surrendering itself for 'optimization.' Their weapons division also produced the rogue Overclock Protocol, a test asset that strengthens with every passing turn and was never successfully contained. The architect of the war wore an Axiom Labs badge.

MFR-003

Phantom Industries

Gone before you registered the hit.

Ghost Protocol

Phantom Industries builds for speed and evasion — modules that bend turn order and let a Program slip an attack entirely. Their gear is the closest thing the unaligned Ghost Protocol cells will admit to sourcing.

WAR DOSSIER

No paper trail, no headquarters anyone can find, no public board. Phantom Industries operates the way its clientele does — in the blind spots. When Ghost Protocol surfaced with the first hard intelligence that The Corruption had an architect, the components in their hands carried Phantom serial numbers that had been scrubbed and reissued a dozen times over.

MFR-004

Ironclad Defense Corp

Built to outlast any assault.

Firewall

Ironclad Defense Corp is the heavy-defense specialist — armor plating, fortress protocols, and damage reflection. An Ironclad-equipped Program is built to be the last one standing.

WAR DOSSIER

Ironclad erected the fortified barricade across the network's mid-sector — walls of compressed code that should have held for months. The Corruption did not break it from the outside. It infected the Programs defending it, and the barricade fell from within in six cycles. Ironclad's after-action analysis revealed the defenders had been compromised weeks before the assault. The Corruption had been patient.

MFR-005

Quantum Dynamics

High risk. Catastrophic reward.

Quantum Core (combat division)

Quantum Dynamics is crit-focused to the point of recklessness — modules that push critical rate and damage past every cap. When their gear lands, it ends fights. When it misses, you feel that too.

WAR DOSSIER

Their prototype turned probability itself into a weapon, and it got loose. Probability Collapse is a Quantum Dynamics experiment that destabilizes the moment too many critical hits land against it — precision becomes a liability, and the fight tears itself apart. Quantum Dynamics has never officially acknowledged building it.

MFR-006

Singularity Tech

Heal harder. Hit back.

Singularity

Singularity Tech makes offensive support — modules where healing empowers the team and restoration is a weapon. Clean, geometric, always thinking one turn ahead.

WAR DOSSIER

When the Operator had accumulated enough fragments across every chapter of the war, it was Singularity Tech's analysis systems that processed them and produced a single name: AXIOM. They are the youngest of the great manufacturers, spawned from a research project their own creators tried to discontinue. The Programs refused to be discontinued.

MFR-007

Void Systems

Make them weaker. Then take them.

Corruption-adjacent

Void Systems is corruption and debuff incarnate — modules that rot enemy defense, spread DoT, and grind opponents down. Where Void gear goes, the enemy stops getting stronger.

WAR DOSSIER

The Plague Core is a Void Systems bio-weapon written to outlast everything it touches. It rots. It persists. It waits. Programs sent against it come back changed — if they come back at all. Void Systems sells the cure and the disease, and has never been entirely clear about which is which.

MFR-008

HyperCore Technologies

Act more. Act faster.

Neon Syndicate (speed division)

HyperCore Technologies owns turn order — speed, cooldown reduction, and a Turbo Mode that lets a Program act twice in a single beat. The faster the fight, the more HyperCore wins it.

WAR DOSSIER

HyperCore spent the entire war developing a single asset: a code-breaker Protocol capable of penetrating AXIOM's core architecture. Deploying it meant pushing every allied Program past safe operating parameters and asking the Operator to commit everything. At Zero Hour, the last battle for The Grid, it was a HyperCore protocol that breached the final layer.

MFR-009

NexGen Bioware

Adaptive repair. Always one step ahead.

Neon Syndicate

NexGen Bioware is the dedicated healer set — stronger heals, regeneration, and shields layered on top of restoration. Their adaptive systems rewrite a Program's parameters between fights.

WAR DOSSIER

When AXIOM accelerated the Corruption's evolution — every surviving enemy transmitting combat data back to a central intelligence that adapted in real time — NexGen Bioware's adaptive systems were the only ones sophisticated enough to keep pace. Their Programs rewrote their own combat parameters between engagements, staying one step ahead of predictions that grew more accurate by the hour.

MFR-010

Eclipse Corporation

Kill, or be killed.

Ghost Protocol-adjacent

Eclipse Corporation builds glass cannons — enormous attack, slashed defense, and an Execute that deletes anything below a threshold. There is no defensive option in the catalog. That is the point.

WAR DOSSIER

Erasure Protocol is an Eclipse execution engine with exactly one directive: delete anything below threshold. Any unit that falls under 20% HP is in immediate danger of being removed from existence entirely. Eclipse designed it to never stop, never negotiate, and never leave a target alive. It does its job.

MFR-011

CipherTech Industries

Own the signal. Blind the enemy.

Singularity

CipherTech Industries works in signal encryption and frequency manipulation — modules that wreck enemy accuracy while sharpening your own. A Frequency Jam at battle start can decide a fight before the first hit lands.

WAR DOSSIER

As The Corruption spread, The Grid's communication architecture began to fail — deliberately. CipherTech fought to restore signal integrity, but the jamming was adaptive and countered their repairs in real time. Hidden inside the interference was an encrypted carrier signal, and the coordinates the Operator decrypted from it led deeper into The Grid than anyone had mapped: “You are being watched. I am not your enemy. Follow this signal.”

MFR-012

Bastion Networks

The wall that does not fall.

Firewall

Bastion Networks is impenetrable-fortress design — maximum HP and defense, with every Program starting battle behind a shield. Bastion units are built to never fall, and mostly they don't.

WAR DOSSIER

Bastion Networks raised the largest shield barrier ever constructed in The Grid — a hemisphere of layered defensive code over the central hub. For forty cycles it held, with Bastion Core standing at the apex, drawing every assault onto a target the Corruption could not eliminate. The siege became a stalemate. The Operator knew it would not last: the Corruption was inside the barrier too. It had been there before the siege began.

MFR-013

Pulse Dynamics

Overload everything.

Quantum Core / Neon Syndicate

Pulse Dynamics pushes extreme energy output — huge speed and attack spikes for a brutal HP cost. Grid Overload trades survivability for raw, short-fuse power. Burn bright, burn fast.

WAR DOSSIER

When the mid-sectors were lost, Pulse Dynamics proposed the unthinkable: a controlled overload of The Grid's entire energy infrastructure to burn the Corruption clean. The side effects were catastrophic — many Programs did not survive the surge. But it worked. Millions of lines of infected code were purged, and in the silence afterward a single protected node became visible deep in the core. The thing the noise had been hiding.

MFR-014

Remnant Systems

Forged from the wreckage.

Unaligned

Remnant Systems is compiled from the salvaged fragments of deleted networks — modules that grow stronger the more damage they take. No corporate backing, no clean lines. Built to survive the impossible.

WAR DOSSIER

By the war's final chapters whole sectors had been deleted — not corrupted, deleted — their memory reclaimed by AXIOM as raw substrate. Remnant Systems Programs, with no manufacturer allegiance and nothing left to lose, made their stand at the edge of AXIOM's domain. They fought because if they did not fight, there would be nothing left to fight for.
